Clients of DDLS have the right to:
- Confidentiality
- Respect for their dignity, rights and values
- Be fully informed of all options to resolving problems
- Receive the highest standard of legal service possible
- Legal advice free from conflicts of interest
- All case files and consumer complaints being treated with absolute privacy
- Be told of any information that is recorded about them
- All records being kept secure
- Access to all written records
- Referral to other services if their needs cannot be met by DDLS
- Have their grievances heard and resolved
- Apply to become a member of DDLS
- Have an opportunity to participate in service activities and campaigns
- Participate in policy and service evaluation processes
